finally_ginger: (I Walk Alone.)
Hello all! Don't have many friended here, so this is a bit of a "if you run across this"sort of thing. But anyway...

I first created this lovely AU take on the Doctor way back in the summer of 2009 on LiveJournal, as a way to comfort myself when I found out my Doctor was leaving. She started out as sort of a funny, cracky outlet, but she involved into something a bit more serious. She is now my Doctor, as much as the Tenth was, and as much as the canonical Eleventh eventually became.

Unfortunately, real life got in the way fairly early in my playing with her, and I lost touch with my muse as I lost touch with myself, basically. It wasn't until finally watching the canonical Eleven's adventures and falling in love with him that my muse for her was revived. (Believe it or not, that was this past summer!) So long story short, I brought her to Dreamwidth and here she is!

So, to get to the point, there is currently a big gap in her timeline. I've written up two adventures for her that are supposed to be fairly recent for her. I've already established that only a year, at most, has went by for her since her regeneration. It's still early in her Eleventh life, and she's still learning about herself and who she is in this incarnation. But, unfortunately, over five years has passed for everyone else. In that five years, she's discovered that two of her companions married (Martha and Mickey), one companion passed away (the Brigadier), and one ultimately became angry with her for leaving him behind (Jack). (The End Of Time didn't happen for her in this AU, by the way, hence why she didn't know about Mr. And Mrs. Smith.) I'm wanting to do a bit of catchup for her, and write up some adventures she took during her first year in her 11th incarnation. None of them would involve present day or near present day Great Britain since she attempted to stay away from there and her former companions during that year/five years. I'm planning to write these as prompt responses and the like, or as scenes, if I can actually find someone who wants to play them with me. I have a few ideas, but not many.

So, if you're reading, if you have any fun ideas for this madwoman, please, suggest away! And they don't have to be "adventures" in the traditional Doctor Who sort of way. It can be as simple as one scene, depicting an event, or talking about somewhere she went, or meeting someone. Something along the lines of some of the things I've already done. (Check the Adventures tag to get an idea of what I'm talking about.)

Thanks in advance, all you lovely people!

[ooc: Takes place sometime before this. Includes a character introduced canonically in series 7, and references a character death discussed canonically during series 6. Based on this picture prompt. ]

For The Doctor, it had only been a year, at most. But to everyone she had left behind, it had been nearly five. A year of her running around the past and future, wreaking havoc, saving lives, having ridiculous adventures. But it had been five long years for everyone else, everyone who was taking the slow path.

And a lot had changed in that five years. )

Even Time Lords can suffer from exhaustion.

Or so it would seem.

The Doctor felt as if she'd be laying in the same spot in the console room for days. She probably had.

It all had started out as a regular refuel in Cardiff. )

She may find herself constantly longing for it now, but companionship is one luxury she refuses to let herself indulge in.

Oi! Now I KNOW I'm turning into her. I just called myself a Spacewoman.

For a Time Lord... or Time Lady, as the case may now be for the Doctor... the concept of night and day is a bit of a complicated one.

It may be as clear as day for human beings, living their all-too-short but lucky lives on the planet Earth. It may be obvious when one is standing upon that Earth's soil, as obvious as raindrops pelting one's head during a storm.

But for a Time Lord or Lady, living on board a TARDIS floating through the time vortex, night and day can be very difficult to determine. Point blank, there is no night or day within the vortex. There is just time, and the seemingly empty space one is floating within.

For the Doctor, night is whenever she declares that she's a bit weary, when her body tells her that it's time for a little nap. And she's found that in this new form, despite the fact that at times she feels very energetic still, she does enjoy sleep a bit more than she has in the past.

But just because the Doctor enjoys sleep, doesn't mean she's able to do so every time she lies down. Sometimes, she's kept up, haunted by a sound she wishes would just go away.

Thump-thump, thump-thump.

Thump-thump, thump-thump.

Heartbeats.

The sound of two hearts, beating together as one.

A reminder that she's not alone, that another lives, another that she is forced never to see again, or face destroying her.

A reminder that she is alone, to deal with the weight of that reality.

You know what's weird? Breasts. Or, more precisely, having breasts. Something I'm not quite used to... yet. It's so... different. And they're so... bloody heavy. Never expected to have these, and they're gloriously huge. It's a bit ridiculous. Don't understand how Donna carries them around.

[ooc: Title is a prompt for [livejournal.com profile] just_prompts, other prompt is this: Trying something for the first time. Immediately follows this.]

A little stiff-legged and woodenly, the Doctor made her way into the wardrobe.

Her former body's clothes were far too tight for Donna's fuller figure. She felt as though she were suffocating. Not to say Donna was overweight, exactly. She was just beginning to realize that, perhaps, her last body truly was far too skinny.

She went about looking through the wardrobe, trying to see if she could either spot anything that might have been Donna's, or anything at all that might fit onto her new body. Something in a bright purple shade caught her eye, and she bent over, reaching for it. As she did, there was the sudden deafening sound of fabric splitting. Her eyes went wide when she realized she felt a breeze.

She shot upright in an instant, and a bit of glare took over her features. "Oi, I can hear you laughing at me in my head! Knock it off, will you, ol' girl!" Her exclamation was shot at the TARDIS herself, who was apparently quite amused at the situation. She blinked momentarily. "My word... I sound just like her." She sighed, and shook her head, before going back to look through the clothes.

Eventually, she found something that she felt suited her, and began the process of changing.

As she took off the brown coat, she paused, and she realized something.

This is Donna's body. I'm about to see Donna... naked.

Except, it wasn't just Donna's body anymore. It was hers now, too. It was a fact she was going to have to get used to, eventually.

She held her head up as she dressed, refusing to look down until she was at least partially covered. She was sure she'd be able to dress normally before long, but not this time, for sure.

After she'd finished, she made her way over to a mirror, and peered into it. A small but sad smile.

"Not bad, aye? My first time dressing a female body..." She nodded slowly, turning to the side and eying her reflection. "Not bad at all."

Muse Name: The Doctor [AU; Eleventh incarnation]
Muse LJ: [livejournal.com profile] finallyginger
Fandom: Doctor Who

Age & Location: I'm legal by Earth standards. All that matters, isn't it? And I'm anywhere I want to be.
Occupation: I would say I'm a professional genius, but I'm not paid for it, I'm afraid.
Relationship status: My heart belongs to someone I can't be with anymore. I'm not sure what that would be.
Family: None left. It's just me.
Interests/Hobbies: time travel, gadgets, being brilliant
Favourite food: I love bananas. Been told I have a bit of a fetish. Lately, I like to dip them in chocolate. Fantastic.
Favourite movie: Can't say I have a favorite. Last one that really amused me was an old Godzilla film. It was just a tad hilarious.
Favourite accomplishment: I've saved you lot... well, a lot. That's something, innit?
Describe yourself in one paragraph: Appearances can be deceiving. Despite what you might think at first glance, I'm the Doctor. Think that's all I need to say, yeah?

Any OOC notes: Yes, that is Catherine Tate's face, and there's a reason for it. This is my own very AU take on the Eleventh Doctor, who's actually not all that different from the Tenth Doctor, except that he mysteriously regenerated into Donna's double. She's trying to learn to live her life wearing her best friend's face, and possibly to live the remainder of her lives alone, but I'm sure there's folks out there who won't let her do that. :p She is completely open for rp and interaction, so feel free to say hi!
finally_ginger: (Wait... What?)
He had known this was coming.

For weeks, he'd been able to sense it.

His death. Or, rather, his regeneration.

The end of one era and the beginning of an entirely new one. )
